This is a list of things we don't know.  We have made educated guesses for many of the numbers, but these are the things that the State or the local NRDs will not release.  All requests for such information are ignored.  If the request is made via the Nebraska Open Records Act, exorbitant fees and extensive delays are experienced.  The Governor or Nebraska Attorney General could cause the release of this information if they wished.

  1. Irrigated stream cell acres by county
  2. Irrigated alluvial acres by county
  3. Irrigated Quick Response acres by county
  4. Depletions caused by groundwater by year. Of the 213,115 AF of consumptive use for 2004, how much of that was caused by 2004 pumping or by any previous year.
  5. Depletion to the stream over any given years by distance from the stream
  6. Why the Model reports that wells further from the stream cause more depletion to the stream than those at the stream
  7. The benefit in acre feet that Nebraska will receive for the 2006 purchase of surface water.
  8. What plan, if any, that exists to prevent a Federal judge from taking control and shutting off wells.
